Catch Report

 Boss of handcraft baits Gav Neal and his party had a good week on the lake despite sub zero over night temperatures plus the huge amount of natural food on offer to the carp at the moment. Huge sheets of bubbling carp could be seen all over the lake accompanied by hatches popping up everywhere. This continued all week. Plenty of food for the fish and birds. 

Handcraft Herb boilies and Skipjack Squid boilies in small quantities over crumb and small pellets proved the winning method. Wafters and bottom baits were used.

33 fish were caught with one loss. Made up of 2 fifties, 10 forties and 16 thirties.

Gav in swim 12 had 14 fish to 52lbs.

Paul in swim 11 took 12 fish including the weeks biggest, a common of 54lbs.

Billy over in swims 3 and 4 had 4 fish with 3 over forty including a 46 mirror and a 44 common.

Matt in swim 8 banked 3 fish to 45lbs.
