2. How deep is the lake?
The Meadow Lake averages 5 feet deep with the deepest area in front of the dam being 7 feet deep. The lake consists of gravel and silt parcels with areas of mussel beds. There is very little weed to worry about.
3. Are there Poisson Chat or crayfish in the lake?
There are no Poisson Chat and the crayfish that are present are small and don't pose a problem. We regularly use small or soft baits and they always come back intact.
4. Are there toilet and shower facilities?
The toilet/shower block is located 150 metres away from the dam. There is also a fridge freezer for your use.
5. How much bait will I need for the week?
There is a massive head of 20lb and 30lb carp. You could require 10 kilos of boilies and a 25 kilo bag of pellets per person. However, we have found it better to put small quantities of bait in at regular intervals.
6. Do I need sophisticated rigs?
These are naïve carp. Half of them were introduced are the 2001/2002 and have some straight from a fish farm and have never been caught before. Basic bottom bait rigs will work better than more sophisticated rigs we have found that pop ups do not work as well as bottom or snowman rigs.
7. Can we use a boat?
There is a boat on site for the anglers use at their own risk. We do advise that a life jacket is used at all times.
